Dark rooms, deliberate light, and a lot of patience.

I'm Dave Sambali, a freelance photographer and the person behind PixelWorx. I've been shooting for about ten years, mostly self-taught with some workshops and courses along the way. My work leans dark and cinematic. Low light, controlled shadows, mood you can feel immediately. That's the thread through everything I shoot, whether it's beauty, editorial, fashion, or intimate portraiture.

My clients are models building their books, agencies, brands, and publications. I also do corporate portraits, personal sessions, and the occasional pre-nuptial shoot when the project is a good fit. I don't do weddings or events. My best work comes from environments I can shape deliberately, and live events don't allow for that.

I also do retouching work from time to time. Editorial-quality, detail-preserving. Not the plastic, airbrushed kind. It's not my main focus, but it's available if a project calls for it.

I'm freelance and location-flexible. I've shot in the Philippines, Singapore, and elsewhere. If the project needs me somewhere, I'll get there. I work best with a clear plan, collaborating with models, stylists, and makeup artists to nail down the direction before we start. The mood, the lighting, the framing. All of it is intentional.
